Welcome to the Electronic Portfolio of Eman Al-Tawil
Welcome to my e-portfolio. My name is Eman Tawil, and I am qualified to teach mathematics in the U.A.E secondary level. The purpose of this e-portfolio is to provide the reader both with concrete examples of my abilities as a teacher and with a sense of the philosophies and beliefs I bring with me into the classroom. I graduated from Dalhousie University (Canada)in 1999 with a Honors degree in Mathematics Teaching. I am currently living in U.A.E,working at Dubai National School as a math teacher for grade 12 and a math Coordinator for Gs.7-9.
Within this portfolio the reader can view my resume, letters of recommendation, educational philosophy statement, and examples of my work in meeting the Standards for Effective Practice in Teaching,etc.
Here the reader will catch a glimpse of what sort of teacher I am, and what sort of teacher I strive to be through a constant process of learning, experimentation, and reflection.
